Base Modular Kitchen Cabinets

Also known as base cabinets or lower cabinets, these are the ones you see under countertops. Since they would often hold granite countertops, they have to be sturdy and extremely durable. Often, they are best for storing big kitchen items such as pots and pans. But, it can also have drawers that can hold other kitchen utensils such as small cutlery items.

Wall-Mounted Kitchen Cabinets

These wall cabinets or wall-hung cabinets, as its name implies, are installed on the walls. It can serve as additional storage space if your kitchen has a limited floor space. These wall-mounted cabinets are also ideal for those who want to have accessible storage for their spices while they are cooking. For those with ample kitchen space, this is optional, especially if your design scheme is an open kitchen layout.

Tall Cabinets

Tall cabinets are also called pantry cabinets or utility cabinets as they often serve as a storage space for grocery items. Since you can organize your supplies well, it would be easy to see all the things that you already have. You can store a plethora of kitchen items in tall cabinets such as jam bars, cookie boxes, and ready-to-eat items. You can have them installed in your custom walk-in pantry so you can have one dedicated space for your supplies, so you don’t clutter up your main kitchen area. This way, you can increase the functionality of your kitchen.

Cabinet Doors

Cabinet doors are an essential component of your kitchen cabinetry. If you want to see what’s inside the cabinet easily, choose to have your cabinet doors made with glass. Similarly, the type of glass you select is also necessary. Do you want a frosted glass, so the contents of your cabinet are not so exposed? Or do you prefer to have clear glass instead?

You also have to decide how your cabinet doors will open. You can choose to have a swing type, awning type, or sliding. It all depends on your preference.

Cabinet Drawers

Cabinet drawers are also an important factor in your modular kitchen cabinet choice. Do you want to have dedicated drawers for your utensils and baking items? You can also incorporate a trash bin drawer in your cabinet, so it does not cause an eyesore. Also, you can have a corner drawer to accommodate any awkward space in your cabinets.

Your choice all boils down to your preference, the size of your kitchen, and your budget for kitchen remodeling. When you’re unsure, it is always best to consult with the experts.
